Subaru has released a teaser of the upcoming 2026 Outback, just days before its official debut at the New York International Auto Show on April 16. This next-gen model marks a big change in design and features, keeping its adventurous spirit alive while moving closer to a traditional SUV style.

Subaru will bring back the Outback Wilderness version, built for off-road fun.

Expect higher ground clearance, tougher tires, and new copper-colored accents.

The Outback name has been around for 30 years, and even though the Legacy (its original base) is being retired, the Outback is here to stay.
🚙 Bigger, Boxier, and More SUV-Like
Spy shots show a more upright, boxy design—closer to the Subaru Forester. It has:
